How to Create Time Frames in Power Portal

Time Frames allow you to define when specific answering rules or system behaviors apply. For example, you can create a "Business Hours" time frame for weekdays and a "Closed Hours" time frame for weekends or after hours.

Step 1: Log in to the Admin Web Portal

  1. Open a web browser and navigate to power.usipcom.com.

  2. Enter your admin credentials (e.g., ext@customerdomain.com) and password, then click Log In.

  3. Select Manage Organization from the top-right corner to access the admin dashboard.

Step 2: Access the Time Frames Page

  1. Click the Time Frames icon on the menu bar in the admin portal.

    • This will open the Time Frames page, where you can create, edit, or delete time frames.

Step 3: Add a New Time Frame

  1. Click the Add Time Frame button.

    • The Add a Time Frame window will appear.

  1. Fill out the following fields:

    • Name: Enter a descriptive name for the time frame (e.g., "Business Hours" or "Holidays").

    • When: Select the period this time frame will cover. There are three options:

      • Always: This time frame will apply at all times.

      • Days of the Week and Times: Allows you to define specific days and times (e.g., Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM).

      • Specific Dates or Ranges: Lets you specify particular dates or date ranges (e.g., December 25 for Christmas).

Step 4: Configure Time Frame Details

Option 1: Always

  1. Select Always if the time frame should apply continuously without any specific restrictions.

  2. Click Save to complete the setup.

Option 2: Days of the Week and Times

  1. Select Days of the Week and Times and check the boxes for the days the time frame applies (e.g., Monday through Friday).

  2. Use the time sliders or text fields to set the start and end times for each selected day.

    • Example: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM for business hours.

  1. To create a break within a day (e.g., lunch hours), click the + icon to add an additional time range for the same day.

  2. Click Save when done.

Option 3: Specific Dates or Ranges

  1. Select Specific Dates or Ranges to define time frames based on calendar dates.

  2. Use the pop-up calendar to select a start date and time in the From field.

  3. Select an end date and time in the To field.

    • Example: December 24, 9:00 AM to December 26, 5:00 PM for a holiday schedule.

  1. Add more date ranges as needed by clicking the + icon.

  2. Click Save when finished.

Step 5: Apply the Time Frame

  1. Once the Time Frame is created, it will appear in the Time Frames list.

  2. Assign the new Time Frame to answering rules, auto attendants, call queues, or other system features as needed.

Examples of Time Frame Usage

  • Business Hours: Route calls to the office during weekdays and to voicemail after hours.

  • Holidays: Forward calls to a custom holiday greeting or voicemail during specific dates.

  • After Hours: Enable different rules for evenings and weekends.
