Forward a Single Number to a Cell Phone
If you have a need to forward a number directly off-net (not to any user or other number on the system) to a cell phone or some other number there is a very simple method to complete this task. Most numbers on the system or directed to a User, Auto Attendant, or Call Queue. Forwarding from any of these types of seats requires a bit more knowledge of the sytem to complete, as it carries more complexity.
Forwarding a single number can be done from the Inventory Tab of an Office Administrator account.
Click the Inventory Tab and find the number you want to forward. Click the number to display the options. From the "Treatment" menu, choose "PSTN Number"
Once this is completed a new "PSTN Number" sub window will be displayed where you will populate the number you want to forward to.
Click "Save" and there you have it! You have forwarded this number until you decide to change it's treatment. If you want to get really tricky, you can play with the "Enable Time Frames" option, where it only forwards during certain times of the Day, Week, etc. We'll cover Time Frames under another article.
