Provisioning a Yealink desk phone

These steps will need to be completed by an Office Manager before connecting your Yealink desk phone
  1. Click on Inventory. (If you do not see Inventory, you may need to click the Manage Organization link at the top of your page.)
  2. Click on the Phone Hardware tab.
  3. Select the make and model of your phone from the dropdown list.
  4. Enter your MAC Address.  You can locate this on the back of your phone.  It will typically start with 805e or 0015.
  5. Type the extension number or user that you want associated with this phone in the line 1 field.  The system will preview available options as you're typing for you to select.
  6. Click the Save button.

Yealink Phone Steps

Certain models may have a slightly different look, but your steps should overall be the same.

  1. Plug your phone into your local network by connecting an ethernet cable into the port labeled Internet on the back of the phone and the other end to your wall jack. (If your network has PoE, your phone should power on now and you can skip to step 3).  If your computer needs to be connected to an ethernet cable or you only have 1 wall jack, plug an ethernet cable from the PC port on the phone to your computers ethernet port.
  2. Plug the power cable into the phone and into a power outlet.
  3. Let the phone boot up completely to the home screen.
  4. Press the OK button on the phone to retrieve the IP address for the phone.  It will be listed under the section labeled IPv4.  If it is blank or shows 0.0.0.0 you may need to troubleshoot your local network.
  5. Open up your web browser or a new tab in an existing browser window on your computer and enter the IPv4 address in the address bar at the top.

Yealink Web GUI Steps

  1. Enter "admin", without the quotes, for the username and password when prompted.  (If these credentials do not work, you may need to factory reset the phone.  See steps below)
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Click on Auto Provision.
  4. Copy this URL - http://endpoints1-ral.usipcom.com/cfg
  5. Paste the URL into the Server URL field.
  6. Click Confirm at the bottom.
  7. The page will refresh and once completed, scroll to the bottom of that page and click the Autoprovision Now button.
  8. Hit the OK button when you see the popup asking to confirm.
You should see your phone reboot now and the home screen will update to show the extension you assigned to the phone on line 1.

Factory Reset a Yealink

If the default username and password of "admin" was not working, follow these steps to default the phone to factory settings.
  1. Press and hold the OK button on the phone for 10 seconds.
  2. Hit the OK button when prompted to reset the phone to factory settings.
